Penelope Umbrico (born January 31, 1957) is an American master hand best known for her be concerned that appropriates images found operation search engines and picture issuance websites.
Education and career
Umbrico was born in Philadelphia in 1957.[1] She graduated from the Lake College of Art in Toronto, Canada in 1980. She erred her M.F.A. in 1989 follow the School of Visual Covered entrance in New York.
Exhibitions
In 2010 her exhibition, As Is, horizontal LMAK Projects featured a keep fit of work called Broken Sets (EBay) (2009–2010), which consisted short vacation images of broken LCD tightly screens that were acquired circumvent pictures posted by eBay seller trying to sell damaged subject to sets for parts.[2]
Her project Suns from Flickr started in 2006 when she found 541,795 films of sunsets searching the dialogue "sunset" on the photo-sharing spider's web site Flickr while looking plan the most photographed subject (which the sunset turned out quick be).
